Birmingham City’s David Cotterill has posted a cryptic tweet regarding his future at the club.

The tweet indicated the winger’s time at Birmingham is coming to an end, with Cotterill seemingly made available for transfer.

Reading and Cardiff City are interested in Cotterill, but according to the Birmingham Mail, Bristol City are leading the race for the 29-year old.

Cotterill started his career with City, playing for them between 2004 and 2006. After spells at a number of English clubs, the Welshman joined Birmingham in 2014.

During his two-and-a-half year spell with the Blues, Cotterill has made 100 appearances for the club.

Cotterill does not fit into manager Gianfranco Zola’s 4-3-3 formation, with more pacey wingers utilised by the Italian.

The Welsh international has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring one goal.

This tweet from Cotterill seems to indicate the end of his Birmingham career, his last appearance came as a substitute in Saturday’s defeat to Norwich City.
