Birmingham City made it back-to-back victories on Saturday with exciting youngster Jude Bellingham once again making the decisive impact for Pep Clotet's men at Charlton.

Whilst his winner against Stoke prior to the international break was fortunate as it came via a huge deflection, there was no doubt about his strike at The Valley that saw Blues pick up another three points.

The 16-year-old has been highly-rated at St. Andrew's for some time now and despite his age, he is already making a massive impression in the Championship.

Therefore, it's no surprise that there is a lot of talk about just how bright a future Bellingham has in the game, with teammate Dan Crowley the latest to praise the teenager.

He told Birmingham Live that the attacking midfielder reminds him of Tottenham star Dele Alli, having played with the England international and against him earlier in his career.

Even though it's clearly a massive compliment from the player, it may not be what Bellingham needs right now.

This will just increase the pressure on the youngster, who needs time to develop and will want to stay away from the spotlight for as long as possible.

Of course, when you're scoring winning goals in the Championship, that's not going to be easy but there needs to be a patience and understanding the Bellingham will require time.

He is sure to have tough spells and he still has a lot of learning to do before he can establish himself as a key member in Clotet's side - never mind getting to the levels that Dele has reached.

By placing more responsibility and pressure on Bellingham, it increases the expectancy from the fans and if a downturn in form does come, they may get frustrated.

Another factor, even if everyone who knows the academy graduate says he is a level-headed kid, is that it could cause him to get ahead of himself.

In fairness, you could understand why he would. He is 16, playing for his local side and scoring winning goals. It would be natural to feel ten feet tall right now and getting comparisons to a top Premier League player is only going to add to that. However, it's vital he remains grounded and realises he has a long way to go.

Ultimately, Crowley's comments could turn out to be bang on, but by putting it out into the press may have just increased the pressure on his talented teammate.
