Birmingham City drew 1-1 last night with West Brom to continue their winless start to the season under Garry Monk.

The Blues put in an excellent performance but to no avail, as a Matty Phillips equaliser meant it was seven games without a win for the Blues this term.

However, things have been improving under manager Monk, and one of the players who can see that and was quick to point it out is midfielder David Davis, who was quick to defend his teammates and manager on Twitter last night in response to a supporter.

Davis's staunch defence of his team is a good sign for the Blues, who are hoping to steer well clear of any sort of relegation threat which has threatened their seasons over the last couple of years.

The Blues could and should have taken all three points last night, however, a penatly miss from Jota - who opened the scoring - came back to haunt the Blues as they were held to a draw.

Birmingham fans, what do you think? Pleased to see Davis like this? Let us know in the comments!
