Birmingham City have resumed talks with Bright Enobakhare and are hoping to complete a deal for the forward before the 11pm deadline.

It had been reported yesterday that the Wolves man was undergoing a medical with Blues ahead of finalising a permanent transfer from Molineux to St. Andrew's.

However, that didn't go through after an agreement over personal terms couldn't be reached - but that doesn't appear to be the end of the matter.

That's after Sky Sports reporter Anton Toloui confirmed that the player has been in talks with the Championship side once again and the move may be resurrected.

"Bright Enobakhare’s move from Wolves to Birmingham City is back on. The 21-year old had a medical at the Championship club yesterday but personal terms couldn’t be agreed. Talks have resumed tonight, however, and the player could make a permanent move."

Pep Clotet has been desperate to bring in additional options in the final third after Alvaro Gimenez departed for Cadiz, although Scott Hogan did join the club earlier this week.

The verdict

It's pretty clear that Birmingham need more quality and depth in the final third and Enobakhare would address those issues.

Whilst some may be underwhelmed by his potential arrival when you look at how he did at Wigan earlier this season, the reality is that he is a hugely talented individual.

Of course, it will then be down to Clotet to get the best out of him but if he can then Blues have a player who can make the difference.

So, it will be interesting to see if this can get done because it didn't sound too promising yesterday.
