Birmingham City are in talks to sign Swansea City winger Wayne Routledge for a fee of £3 million, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The winger has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Swans this season – scoring just twice – but could be on his way to St Andrews to link up with Gianfranco Zola’s squad.
Zola is on the hunt for a new left-sided winger after missing out on Crystal Palace man Bakary Sako, but it seems he has set his eyes on a new target.
The Bluenoses are short on the left hand side as they will be without Jacques Maghoma, who is at the African Cup of Nations, and Greg Stewart is set to be sidelined for the next few weeks with injury.
Routledge has been playing his football in South Wales for the past five years, but could be tempted with a move to Birmingham.
