Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham City have had a bid for Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak rejected in the loan window, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League side rejected their rivals loan bid for the forward last week, as they didn’t want him to leave on loan.
The Czech Republic International has been a bit part player since joining from Lazio in 2013 and has hardly played for the first team since Paul Lambert signed him, mainly because of injuries.
Birmingham were looking for a striker with the news that Clayton Donaldson is out for around a month – in the end they signed James Vaughan from Huddersfield after the Kozak move came to nothing.
Kozak doesn’t look likely to feature for the Villa team anytime soon despite them having very few options upfront, and speculation about his future is likely rise again in January.
Meanwhile Birmingham, flying high under Gary Rowett, are sixth in the Championship with 26 points from 18 games.
