Birmingham City want to sign Josh Dasilva from Arsenal, according to reports.

The Birmingham Mail is reporting that Dasilva is now on Birmingham's radar and this is backed up by The Mirror's Live Transfer Blog [Friday 3rd August, 07:39].

The Mirror reports that Birmingham's transfer embargo has been lifted, allowing Kristian Pedersen to finally register after moving to the club earlier in the year.

However, the Blues are restricted to only free transfers and loan deals to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

This means they are now eyeing a loan swoop for Dasilva, who is in Arsenal's academy.

The 19-year-old has played three senior games for the Gunners, all of which have come in the EFL Cup, and he could be set for some more experience with a move to St Andrew's.

The England under-20 international is predominantly a midfielder but he has also played as a striker and as a defender for the North London side's academy teams.

Birmingham are hoping to sign Dasilva on a loan deal to bolster their squad.

The Verdict

Birmingham need faces through the door so they must consider all their loan and free transfer options.

The talented teenager lacks first-team experience but has a lot of potential so he could be a good signing.

After Dasilva arrives, a goalkeeper must be the next priority.
