Birmingham City edge closer to deal for Sheffield United star, fee now agreed

Che Adams move from Sheffield United to Birmingham City is moving ever closer, after the two clubs agreed a fee, according to Pete O’Rourke.

The Blues have been showing interest in the youngster for quite some time throughout this summer, but it now appears that there has been a breakthrough in negotiations and subsequently the deal could be close to completion.

Adams is one of the hottest properties in League One since he made his Blades debut two years ago, and brings a great deal of first-team experience for a 20 year-old, having already made 46 appearances for the League One side.

Rowett will be hoping that Adams can slot straight into his side and have an immediate impact on the Championship, as Birmingham City look to compete for a return to the Premier League this campaign.

After a number of years of relying predominantly on loans and free transfers, Blues fans will be optimistic that deals such as these signify that the club is heading back in the right direction.

Birmingham fans….What do you think? Would Adams be a good signing? Blades fans…how big a blow is this for your side? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
