Birmingham City are reportedly interested in bringing three-time Premier League winner Ashley Cole to St Andrews, according to Bleacher Report.

The 36-year-old, who currently plays his football for MLS side L.A. Galaxy, has been a huge name in English football for years now and an approach from Harry Redknapp would be very ambitious to say the least.

Redknapp is currently on the search for experienced players who will boost his side's chances of promotion and Cole fits that bill perhaps more than anybody.

Full-back Cole is a highly experienced player, featuring an impressive 384 times in the top tier of English football as well as time spent in America and Italy.

On top of this, he is also a winner of the Champions League and he has incredibly also won the FA Cup seven times in his career.

A move for a player still regularly featuring and on sizeable wages will certainly not be easy but the board at St Andrews are backing Redknapp all the way and will make a move to Birmingham as appealing as possible.
