Birmingham City boss Aitor Karanka is said to be weighing up a summer move for Nottingham Forest winger Albert Adomah, with Sports World Ghana reporting that the Spaniard is keen on linking up with his former player once again.

The 32-year-old winger has spent a large portion of the season out on loan at Cardiff City, with Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi having seemingly deemed the veteran as surplus to requirements this term.

A move for Adomah to St. Andrew's is now seemingly in the pipeline after Karanka was appointed as Pep Clotet's successor earlier this week, with the former Forest boss having previously worked with the experienced Ghanaian during his time as Middlesbrough manager.

Adomah went on to appear for Cardiff on nine occasions this term, notching up two assists for the Bluebirds as the Welsh side fell short in the play-offs against Fulham earlier this week.

Boasting a record of over 400 Championship appearances, Adomah currently has one year remaining on his current contract at the City Ground.

The Verdict

This would certainly be a shrewd bit of business for the Blues if they were able to pull a move off for Adomah, with the winger offering an experienced option at Championship level.

Given his age and current contract status. Karanka would surely be able to nab the 32-year-old on a cheaper deal as opposed to pursuing other targets in the same role.

What lies ahead for Adomah at Forest appears unclear, with question marks also still surrounding the future of Lamouchi at the club after they missed out of the play-offs this term.

Therefore this is certainly a move that appears as likely as any due to existing relationship that Karanka has with the player from their days together at Boro.
