Birmingham City have announced that the contracts of seven first team members will not be renewed ahead of the 2015/2016 season.

Long serving goalkeeper Colin Doyle will depart from the West Midlands club after his 13 year stint came to an end, after manager Gary Rowett opted against offering him a new contract.

Similar to Doyle, the likes of academy product Callum Reilly, club hero Nikola Zigic and USA under 23 international Will Packwood have all been released.

Zigic, who recently himself played his last home league game with the club, is expected to retire with not many clubs able to meet his wage demands.

Long term injuries halted the progression of Matt Green and Gavin Gunning and because of those unfortunate injuries, the pair have also been released from the club and will now have to continue their rehabilitation somewhere else.

Finally, former Barnet midfielder Olly Lee has also been let go after he failed to make a big impact since arriving at the club in 2013.
