Birmingham City and Blackburn among clubs eyeing deal for Premier League forward

It has emerged in a report by the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn and a number of Championship sides are interested in signing Sunderland striker Danny Graham in the summer transfer window.

The Sunderland striker has spent the second half of the season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, and his seven goals in 18 appearances led to Graham finishing as Blackburn Rovers’ top goal scorer.

Danny Graham has stated his intent on returning to Blackburn Rovers but the experienced striker will wait until Blackburn Rovers appoint their new manager before committing to a return.

However whilst Blackburn Rovers stall, it could prove detrimental with a number of fellow Championship clubs showing an interest in signing the striker.

Simon Grayson’s Preston North End, newly promoted Wigan Athletic and Gary Rowett’s Birmingham City have all shown an interest in the former Swansea City striker.

As Sam Allardyce prepares for next season, it is looking unlikely that Danny Graham will remain at the North East side, and it is a matter of when will he move rather than if.

Blackburn fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you like to see Danny Graham return to Ewood Park? How likely do you think Graham’s return is? Could one of the other Championship sides interested steal in? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
