Blackburn Rovers are set to be handed a major boost in their quest for survival as a trio of first team players are nearing a return to first team action, according to The Lancashire Telegraph.

Blackburn Rovers trio Charlie Mulgrew, Danny Graham and Darragh Lenihan are all progressing nicely following recent injury setbacks as Tony Mowbray’s side prepare for an intense relegation battle.

This news will come as a blow to the survival hopes of Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest, who are stuck in the relegation battle with Rovers.

With three games left to play, Blackburn occupy the final spot in the relegation zone with Nottingham Forest one point above them and Birmingham three points above but with inferior goal difference.

Blackburn have been handed a triple boost as they prepare for these decisive three games with top scorer Danny Graham back training after surgery, Charlie Mulgrew also back in training and Darragh Lenihan ahead of schedule in his injury return.
