Championshio duo Norwich City and Birmingham City could be set to go head to head to sign Arsenal midfielder Krystian Bielik, according to the Derby Telegraph, via a report by the Sun on Sunday.

The impressive young Polish midfielder is highly thought of by the management team at the Emirates, but has ultimately struggled to break into the the Gunners' line up this term.

Bielik spent the latter part of last season on loan with the Blues, and was set to make a summer move away from the Gunners until an injury curtailed his progress and any chance of making a move to the Championship.

However, with January around the corner, both the Canaries and the Blues could be set to move for the youngster as they look to add some quality to the ranks and increase their chances at differing ends of the Championship table in the second half of the season.

Norwich have suffered with inconsistent results this season curtailing their chances of a playoff spot, while Birmingham are fighting for their life at the bottom end of the table under manager Steve Cotterill.

Canaries and Blues fans, what do you think to this? Would Bielik be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
