Three English clubs, including Championship duo Birmingham City and Fulham, are hoping to complete a quick deal to sign SC Bastia defender Alexander Dijku, according to reports in France.

French media outlet L'Equipe (via Sport Witness) is reporting that SC Bastia are trying to offload Alexander Dijku in order to raise funds due to their financial problems.

As a result, Bastia could complete a quick sale and sanction an exit for Alexander Dijku as early as next week.

There are seven clubs who have been alerted to this situation and appear keen to do a deal, including three English sides.

Premier League outfit Crystal Palace and Championship duo Birmingham City and Fulham are all interested in the 22-year-old this summer.

The young right-back is also attracting interest from Turkish club Bursaspor, Greek giants Olympiacos and French duo Caen and Saint-Etienne.

The versatile defender, who is comfortable playing anywhere across the back four, played 23 games for Bastia last season, scoring once, but he could not prevent them from suffering relegation to Ligue 2.

SC Bastia are holding out for between €2m and €3m for their prize starlet as a number of teams hover and wait to complete the deal.

The Frenchman fits Craig Kline's "moneyball" transfer policy for Fulham due to his age and sell-on value while Birmingham City could take a punt on Dijku to provide Emilio Nsue with competition.
