According to various reports in the French media, John Bostock is on the radar of Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers this summer.

French media outlet Lensois.com is reporting that news sources in the local area believe that Birmingham and Blackburn could make swoops for RC Lens midfielder John Bostock.

John Bostock was born in Camberwell, South London and emerged through the academy at Crystal Palace.

After playing five senior games for Crystal Palace, Bostock completed a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur as a 16-year-old.

He was widely tipped to become one of the Premier League's best players in the years to come but after numerous loan spells, including Brentford, Hull, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon Town and Toronto FC, Spurs let him leave.

The attack-minded central midfielder has since plied his trade abroad, moving to Royal Antwerp (Belgium) in 2013 and also representing Belgian side OH Leuven before moving to RC Lens in 2016.

The former England under-19 international has been a revelation in France and was voted Ligue 2 Player of the Year.

A move back to England could now be on the cards for the talented 25-year-old with Championship side Birmingham City ready to pounce.

This could reunite Bostock with his former manager Harry Redknapp.

The Blues face competition from Blackburn Rovers, who will compete in the third tier of English football after their disappointing relegation and QPR, according to another report.
