Billy Kee announced as Sky Bet League Two player of the Season at EFL Awards

Billy Kee has won the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year award at the EFL Awards in London.

It’s been a stellar year for Accrington Stanley this season in the fourth tier of English football with them on the brink of a long-awaited promotion into League One.

Certainly, you cannot really argue with they way they have performed this season and Kee has been one of the main protagonists with him currently top of the goal-scorers chart in the division.

Kee was part of a three-man shortlist that also comprised Mo Eisa from Cheltenham and Adebayo Akinfenwa of Wycombe Wanderers, highlighting a very attacking theme to the final trio.

Ultimately, though, it’s Kee who has taken the plaudits overall ahead of his striking rivals and he’ll surely be looking forward to trying his hand in League One next season as Stanley look to kick on.
