Yesterday was a complete whirlwind in the world of Leeds United, with the club unexpectedly announcing that they were set to reveal a new badge, which would be put in place going forward from the 2018/19 campaign.

Leeds’ reveal was met by a sea of anger from the club’s supporters, whilst others were quick to jump on the bandwagon and mock the Elland Road club for their new crest, which featured a silhouette doing the ‘Leeds Salute.’

The reaction across social media was certainly one of disbelief from Leeds’ supporters, whilst clubs including Aston Villa, were quick to mock their Sky Bet Championship rivals over their new design.

Leeds’ board have moved quickly to backtrack following the reveal, with Angus Kinnear confirming, via Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post, that the consultation process, where the club claimed to speak to 10,000 supporters, was not enough and that the club would reassess the design.

Following Kinnear’s comments, Leeds’ supporters were understandably delighted, as their club seemingly admitted their mistakes and accepted they needed to reconsider.
