Watford pair Ignacio Pussetto and Roberto Pereyra could both be moving back to Udinese this summer, according to Tutto Udinese.

The duo both joined from Italian club's, with Pussetto coming straight from Udinese in January whilst Pereyra joined the Hornets from Juventus in 2016 and has been a key part of Watford's most recent Premier League journey.

The Pozzo family that owns Watford, also owns Udinese, and this makes connections between the two club very strong, making transfers between the two more and more likely.

Both are players that will feel they are good enough for a league such as the Serie A, and after suffering relegation last season, they may not be the last players to be linked with a move from  Watford.

The Hornets' new manager Vladimir Ivic will be sure to make decisions about the squad in the coming weeks, where a lot of business will be done before the first game of the new season.

The Verdict

It's not a surprise to see these two linked with a move away, and even less of a surprise to see them both linked with a move back to Italy.

Pereyra has been a star player for Watford during their time in the top-flight and he'll be sorely missed after providing the Hornets with a number of big moments throughout his time at the club.

Watford will be looking to get their wage book down ahead of the new campaign but must also make sure to keep enough quality amongst their ranks to ensure they can battle for promotion next season.
