‘Big call for the derby’ – Plenty of Cardiff fans react to breaking team news ahead of Swansea clash

Cardiff City face a huge game on Sunday, as they host Swansea City in an all-Welsh affair in the Championship.

As well as wanting to take revenge for a 1-0 defeat to their rivals at the Liberty Stadium earlier this season, the Bluebirds will be desperate to put right a dismal start to 2020, which has seen them thrashed 6-1 at QPR in the league, before being forced to come from 2-0 down to salvage a draw at home to League Two strugglers Carlisle United in the FA Cup, meaning they have won just one of their last seven games.

Despite that, the Bluebirds could move to within two points of the play-off places if they are able to pick up a win this weekend.

Swansea meanwhile, know that a win will lift them back into the play-off spots, after results elsewhere on Saturday saw them drop out of the top six spots, meaning this will surely be a challenging assignment for Cardiff.

Perhaps with that in mind, Bluebirds manager Neil Harris has named a side that shows five changes from that thrashing at QPR last time out in the league, with Sol Bamba, Aden Flint, Jazz Richards, Will Vaulks and goalkeeper Neil Etheridge all dropping out of the starting XI, with Lee Peltier, Sean Morrison, Joe Bennett, Gavin Whyte and Alex Smithies coming into the side.

Taking to Twitter to react to that team news, plenty of Cardiff fans appeared encouraged by the side put out by Harris for such a crucial clash.

Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
