Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish will not be pursued any further by Liverpool, despite reports linking him with a move to Anfield surfacing over the past few days.

The impressive Grealish is attracting a host of attention this summer with Villa needing to sell to balance the books, but according to the Liverpool Echo via a report by Talksport, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp will not pursue a deal for Grealish any further.

Klopp's eagerness to move away from a potential £25m deal should not pave the way for Spurs to make their move for the talented young midfielder, with Mauricio Pochettino being an admirer of the 21-year-old for quite some time.

Grealish was one of the standout performers for the Villans last season as they made it into the Championship playoffs, only to lose out at Wembley in the playoff final against Fulham.

Manager Steve Bruce was eager to keep hold of the 21-year-old going into next term, but with owner Tony Xia making no secret of the fact the club faces some tricky off field decisions around finances, Bruce knows full well that Grealish could well be the biggest sacrifice and source of income for the club.

However, it appears now that Liverpool will not be Grealish's destination, with the Reds reportedly looking to move once more for Nabil Fekir.

Villa fans, what do you think to this? Will Grealish eventually leave? Let us know in the comments!
