Today is the 24th anniversary of Tony Yeboah’s screamer for Leeds United against Liverpool and many Whites fans have taken to Twitter to show their appreciation for the goal.

The Leeds striker scored the goal at Elland Road in August 1995 and helped his side beat the Reds 1-0.

Yeboah joined the Yorkshire club from Eintracht Frankfurt for £3.4 million in January that year.

The Ghanian forward made 54 appearances and scored 28 goals for the Whites during his two seasons in West Yorkshire.

The club posted on Twitter today to remind fans about ‘that’ goal from 24 years ago.

Leeds have made a fast start to the 2019/20 Championship season and currently sit top of the league with seven points from three games.
