After just missing out on automatic promotion, Leeds United face Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship play-off semi-finals.

The first leg of the semi-final will take place at Pride Park on Saturday evening, with Aston Villa facing West Brom in the other semi-final earlier in the day.

Leeds finished third in the Championship table, losing three of their final four matches and head coach Marcelo Bielsa will have to make sure his players get over the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion.

Meanwhile, Derby clinched the one remaining play-off spot on the final day of the season. Frank Lampard's side are unbeaten in their last six Championship matches and have lost just one of their last twelve.

Leeds beat Derby in both league matches this season, winning 4-1 at Pride Park in August and 2-0 at Elland Road in January, after Bielsa had admitted to sending a member of staff to spy on the Rams' training session.

Lampard described Bielsa as "unethical" at the time, but has insisted that he is not motivated by revenge ahead of the play-off semi-final and is firmly focused on dealing with Leeds as a team.

So, which manager will come out on top in the play-offs?

Here, we take a look at their records this season.

Leeds have blown teams away with their fast-paced attacking football this season and have won 25 matches, compared to Derby's 20 and have a significantly better goal difference.

Bielsa has a better win percentage than Lampard, winning 54.3% of his games in charge of Leeds in the Championship, compared to Lampard's 43.5% for the Rams.

Interestingly, despite finishing nine points behind their opponents in the Championship table, Derby have lost twelve matches this season, compared to Leeds' thirteen, although the Whites did lose three of their final four league games. Meanwhile, Leeds have drawn eight matches this season, while Derby have drawn 14.

Despite the two teams being separated by nine points this season, the stats suggest that it will be a close game in the play-off semi-finals.

The Leeds players are under enormous pressure to win the play-offs, having challenged for automatic promotion all season.

Meanwhile, Derby will go into the play-offs full of confidence and the players will feel they have a point to prove after losing twice to Leeds earlier in the season.
