Leeds United underwhelmed last season in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Whites finishing 13th, way short of where many at Elland Road were expecting.

Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom failed to mount a serious push for the play-offs last season, with another managerial change take place this summer at LS11.

Marcelo Bielsa has been appointed on a two-year deal, with many expecting the 62-year-old to shake things up this summer.

Bielsa will want to add some serious quality to the squad he is inheriting, in a bid to get Leeds challenging at the right end of the table.

Others will be moved on, whilst some will be given a chance to impress their new head-coach ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

Here at FLW, we take a look at THREE current members of Leeds’ squad that Bielsa needs to give a chance to over the course of pre-season…

Peacock-Farrell will undoubtedly develop into Leeds’ No.1 in the future, but Leeds are looking to bring another goalkeeper in this summer.

Of course, Peacock-Farrell will get a chance in pre-season and be in contention next season, but Bielsa needs to give the Northern Irishman a real opportunity to challenge for the No.1 jersey over pre-season.

If he impresses, Leeds’ quest to sign a new goalkeeper might take a backseat.

Klich never got a chance last season under Christiansen, with the midfielder shipped out on-loan after a limited impact at Elland Road.

This summer, Bielsa needs to take a look at the Polish midfielder, who still has plenty of quality.

Klich’s strength is his passing game, which could make him a key part of what Bielsa tries to do at Elland Road.

Shaughnessy broke onto the scene at Elland Road last season, making an impressive impact.

The youngster could be key in Bielsa’s three-man defence next season, given the ex-midfielder’s quality on the ball.

Bielsa will turn to his defenders to step up into midfield and get Leeds on the attack.

Shaughnessy could become a key part of that at Elland Road, particularly if he impresses his new boss in pre-season.
