Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is expecting a direct approach from Rotherham as he gears up for his third game in the Championship.

The renowned Argentinian coach has settled into life in England's second-tier with ease, masterminding impressive victories against Stoke and Derby.

On both occasions the Whites started the games as slight underdogs but had too much for their opponents with their fast, attacking play.

However, they will be firm favourites for the clash against the Millers, who may look to soak up pressure and counter - something Leeds haven't come across yet.

And, Bielsa recognised that, telling Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay that he expects Paul Warne's men to be direct at Elland Road on Saturday.

Rotherham suffered a heavy defeat in their opening game against Brentford, going down 5-1, but picked up all three points against Ipswich Town last time out.

The Verdict

These comments may not go down well with Rotherham as they do play good football at times, however, they are direct in their play.

Either way, from a Leeds perspective it's good that Bielsa recognises that the newly-promoted side offer a different threat.

Now, it's down to his side to respond to that challenge and prove they can overcome this style.
