Marcelo Bielsa has delivered an insight into Leeds United’s preparations for their clash with Swansea City tomorrow evening.

Leeds head to Wales tomorrow evening to take on Swansea, with Bielsa’s side having a quick turnaround from Saturday’s clash with Rotherham United.

The 63-year-old has confirmed to Phil Hay at the Yorkshire Evening Post that yesterday was spent looking at the organisation of the team, with Bielsa looking to not use too much energy as Leeds only had 48 hours to prepare for the clash.

Leeds head to Swansea looking to maintain the only 100% record in the Championship, which was extended on Saturday, as Bielsa’s side secured a 2-0 victory over Rotherham.

The trip to Wales starts a tough week for Leeds, who will play three times in the space of seven days, as the intensity of the season picks up.

Following Tuesday's clash with Swansea, Leeds then take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday, before returning to Elland Road the following Tuesday to take on Preston North End in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The Verdict

Bielsa has Leeds playing at such a high intensity, which is going to be difficult to maintain over the course of the full Championship season, particularly with how quickly games are coming around.

This week we will learn a lot about Bielsa and is methods, with the intensity and travelling involved sure to test Leeds.

The chances are that Bielsa will have to use his full squad for the coming fixtures, rather than just the XI he has turned to in the Championship.
