Bidwell pens three-year contract

Championship new-boys Brentford have announced that left-back Jake Bidwell has signed a new contract that will keep him at Griffin park until 2017. 

Bidwell has penned a new deal with the Bees

The 21-year-old left-back, who came through the ranks at Premier League side Everton, was initially loaned to Brentford in the 2012-13 season before making it permanent in the summer of 2013. In the 2013-14 campaign, he returned from an early injury to make  41 appearances for The Bees last season, cementing his place in the starting 11.

Bidwell boasts being named the Football League Young Player Of The Month for January 2014 and was also selected in the League One team of the year.

The young left-back is just one appearance away from making 100 League appearances for the club.
