Bid rejected, Wolves man eyed, Louie Sibley update: The latest Millwall transfer talking points

Millwall are still looking to strengthen their existing squad this month as they bid to close the gap on the Sky Bet Championship play-off places.

No business has been conducted at the Den so far but it expected that there will be both arrivals and departures in equal measure as Gary Rowett aims to fine tune the squad that he has at his disposal.

Doubts still remain over the futures of the likes of Jed Wallace and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, with the latter having been tipped to leave for quite some time now.

With regards to Wallace, there is plenty of interest from other sides both in and around the Sky Bet Championship, with a sale sure to force Millwall’s hand in the transfer market.

Bid rejected

The Lions are said to have seen a bid rejected for FC Utrecht midfielder Bart Ramselaar as they aim to strengthen their attacking options, as per a recent report by the South London Press.

Ramselaar has scored 15 goals in 62 games for the Dutch Eredivisie outfit and also boasts a record of having made three appearances for Holland at international level.

Millwall are said to have made the signing of an attacking midfield player a priority this month.

However it remains to be seen if they will make a follow up bid for the 25-year-old in the near future.

Wolves man eyed

Millwall are said to be one of a plethora of clubs that are keen on the loan signing of Dion Sanderson from Wolves, as per a recent report by Football Insider.

Also a target for the likes of Blackpool, Bristol City, Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City, Sanderson was recalled from his loan with the latter of the aforementioned clubs by his parent side.

He is now expected to be loaned out once again for the remainder of the campaign.

This has led to the Lions throwing their hat into the ring for his signature.

Louie Sibley update

The Lions are said to have lodged a bid worth in the region of £450,000 for Derby County midfielder Louie Sibley, as per a recent post on Twitter by football journalist John Percy.

All of the club’s previous bids for the player have been rejected by Derby’s administrators, Quantuma, which suggests that the Rams are willing to hold their ground.

However on the flip side the troubled Midlands side are in need of assured finance, so could well be tempted to cash in.

It is as yet unclear as to whether the player would be keen on a move to South London or not.
