‘Beyond heartbroken’ – Hull City fans vent on Twitter as Derby County complete swoop

It has been a rollercoaster few years for Hull City, but they are now embarking on a different challenge heading into the Sky Bet Championship.

Having suffered relegation from the Premier League in 2015, the Tigers came into the Championship as one of the favourites to achieve promotion straight back to the top-flight, which they achieved under Steve Bruce via the Play-Offs in 2016.

The 2016/17 campaign was a struggle for Hull in the Premier League, and the Tigers suffered their second relegation in three seasons, after just one year back in the top-flight.

Hull and Bruce parted company ahead of last season, and Marco Silva’s decision to leave the KCOM Stadium last month means the Tigers are currently without a manager heading back into the second-tier.

More departures are expected in East Yorkshire this summer, as Hull’s 2016 promotion winning squad seek different ventures.

Curtis Davies, who has played a significant role at the KCOM Stadium since 2013, has left Hull to link-up with Championship rivals Derby County ahead of next season.

Following the announcement of Davies’ departure, here is how Hull fans reacted…

Hull fans… How do you feel about Davies’ departure? Let us know your thoughts!
