Queens Park Rangers’ chairman Amit Bhatia has reacted to a video of Oxford United’s Jamie Mackie doing the ‘quarantine workout’.
The 34-year-old who made over 150 appearances for QPR in two seperate spells was outed on Twitter by U’s teammate John Mousinho, who posted the video that Mackie had sent to him.
It garnered a lot of attention from QPR fans, with ex-players even chipping in on the banter, and QPR chairman Bhatia as well:

Mackie has been an ever-present in the Oxford United side since joining last season – he appeared in all but one of their league games last season, and has played in all but three this time around.
The League One side have been in-and-around the top-six throughout the season and Mackie has once again proved a favourite with the club. It’s his time at QPR that fans best remember him for though.

He scored 24 goals in his time at QPR, with a lot of them important, memorable ones – he came off the bench to inspire a 3-2 comeback against Liverpool in the Premier League – scoring the late winner in front of the Loftus Road faithful.
A true workhorse and a man who’s still going today, and showing no signs of seizing up with his questionable exercises during the lockdown.
QPR fans have only fond memories of Mackie, and it seems that Bhatia is a fan too.
Footballers and chairmen alike are often be branded with the same ‘boring’ brush, but it’s good to see that these two have a sense of humour in these times of no football.
