Plenty of Stoke City fans have handed striker Benik Afobe a future at the club by assessing his chances of returning to the club.
Signing for the Potters in June 2018 on an initial loan deal, Afobe would then agree a permanent move with Stoke shelling out £12m for the striker.
Having had moderately good spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth, the former Arsenal youngster struggled to make an impact in the 2018/2019 season, before he was deemed surplus to requirements by former Stoke boss Nathan Jones last summer.

Moving to Championship rivals Bristol City on loan, Afobe had a good start to life with the club, but a serious knee injury saw him miss the remainder of the season up to this point.
Set to return to Stoke when the 2019/2020 season is complete, currently at a standstill due to the recent pandemic, Afobe will be looking to sit down and discuss where his future lies.
Current Stoke boss Michael O’Neill is expected to make some wholesale changes this summer at the club, but has given no indication on Afobe’s future.
Reacting to a question posed by Football League World’s Ben Crump via Facebook group The Bear Pit TV: Stoke City Football Club: “Should Benik Afobe be giving a shot next season? – and below are just some of the responses…
David Thomas Biddles: Why not he is better than what we have needs a regular partner
Joseph Mutch: Yeah him and Tyrese Campbell up front would be insane
Denis Bedson: Definitely
Joe Richards: Yes very poor treatment from the fans last season
Chris Blanche: Yes but won’t get it
Warren Wallbanks: Defo
Andrew Hollinshead: Hes a proven championship striker I’d like to see him return to stoke and be given an other go
Daz Holdcroft: 100%
Sean Arrowsmith: Definitely not, if the likes of Rangers, Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax etc are after these pair:
Should be on for 40 goals between them in their full debut seasons! I’m joking of course but exciting times
Rick Tams: I don’t think he will want it. He needs a clean break, and I can’t see him returning.
