Middlesbrough rescued a point as they drew 2-2 with QPR at Loftus Road, but it wasn't enough to see Boro lift themselves out of the relegation zone.

Jonathan Woodgate's side took the lead on the day though as Britt Assombalonga headed home from a Jonny Howson cross, but that lead didn't last long.

QPR responded just two minutes later as Nahki Wells fired home from inside the penalty area, before Grant Hall headed the Hoops in front shortly before half-time.

But Middlesbrough snatched an unlikely point on 69 minutes when Assombalonga scored his second of the game to see Boro take a point back to the Riverside.

It does mean that Woodgate's side are still without a win since October, which will be a concern for the club's supporters as we head towards the festive period.

Plenty of Middlesbrough fans took to social media to issue their thoughts on this recent performance.
