Leeds United have entered the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria on loan for the season, according to journalist, Courtney Friday.

It is also thought that Reading remain the favourites to land his signature, but Leeds' interest will surely be of note to the 21-year-old.

In our latest FLW Six Pointer, we look into Leeds' interest in Ejaria in more detail.

Firstly, what do we know about Ovie Ejaria?

"Ejaria has been at Liverpool for a number of years now and has been out on loan with Rangers and Reading most recently.

"He struggled at Rangers previously, which has led to doubts about whether he would have been suited to the physicality of the Championship.

"But he was hugely impressive for the Royals in the second-half of last season, and will be keen to showcase his talent out on loan again next season."

Would he be a good signing for Leeds?

"It's a difficult one.

"Ejaria is a brilliant signing for any of the Championship teams in my opinion, and I think Leeds would have a good signing on their hands if they convinced him to sign up at Elland Road.

"But his work ethic leaves a lot to be desired, which will be a concern for Leeds supporters, who know that Bielsa's style is high pressing and requires a lot of effort from each player in his team."

Does he suit their style of play?

"He's not the most obvious choice.

"Ejaria at times can have somewhat of a lazy attitude, which certainly doesn't fit in with Bielsa's style of play.

"There's no doubting that he's a confidence-based player, who needs to find consistency, but I'm not sure he's the right fit for Leeds.

"Bielsa needs players who are going to leave everything out on the pitch, and I don't think Ejaria is a player who would do that.

"There are better options out there for Bielsa's side."

Where would he fit into Bielsa's starting XI?

"He'd play in behind the striker and alongside the two wingers.

"Leeds have been crying out for a CAM that is going to provide the creativity for the striker to score goals, and Ejaria could definitely be the player to do that.

"He's a tricky player to come up against, and I think Leeds could be well in the hunt for promotion again if they had him in their starting XI."

What are his attributes?

"He's a player that could be the missing piece in their promotion jigsaw.

"Ejaria's main attributes are based on his creative ability, and that was clear to see for Reading last season.

"Having watched him in person a number of times, he makes it look easy to find passes and provide the strikers with the service they need to score goals.

"Without Ejaria in Reading's side, they wouldn't have stayed up last season in my opinion."

Finally, how likely is this deal to happen?

"I wouldn't rule it out.

"Ejaria looked as though he was heading back to Reading for another loan spell in Berkshire, but he'll surely be tempted by a move to Elland Road for the season.

"Leeds have a much better chance of winning promotion than Reading do next season, so it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise if Ejaria has had his head turned by their reported interest."
