Leeds United’s wait for a victory in 2018 continued yesterday, with Paul Heckingbottom’s side held to a 2-2 draw by Bristol City in a hugely entertaining clash at Elland Road.  

The Whites found themselves 2-0 down early on, as goals from Famara Diedhiou and Bobby Reid put Lee Johnson’s Robins into a commanding position, however, an electric atmosphere at Elland Road inspired Leeds to a late recovery.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga hauled Leeds back into the contest, before Kemar Roofe completed a comeback by bundling a corner into the net.

Leeds almost won the game with the last kick of the game, only for Lasogga’s header to crash off the crossbar.

The 26-year-old German striker was one of very few first-half positives, and during the second, showed why he is slowly winning Leeds’ supporters round.

Lasogga scored his ninth goal of the season, in just his 15th start, with his contribution pulling plenty of praise from Leeds’ supporters…
