‘Best player on the pitch’ – Many QPR fans react to 23-year-old’s display against Millwall

Queens Park Rangers ended their run of three consecutive defeats following a 1-1 draw in their London derby at Millwall at The Den on Tuesday.
Mark Warburton’s side have won just four league matches this season, although Rangers produced a spirited performance, and had it not been for some heroics by Bartosz Bialkowski in the Lions net, the Loftus Road outfit could have left South Bermondsey with maximum points.
After a cagey opening half, Ilias Chair broke the deadlock with a moment of individual brilliance as the Moroccan midfielder dispatched an impressive strike from 25-yards out – the only time on the evening where Millwall’s Polish goalkeeper was helpless.
Bright Osayi-Samuel and Lyndon Dykes were both guilty of missing clear-cut chances as Rangers were unable to put clear daylight between themselves and the Lions.
And Jon Dadi Bodvarsson made them pay 19 minutes from time when the Icelandic striker scored his first goal of the season to earn Millwall a point.
Quiz: Which club did QPR sell each of these 20 players to?
Here, we’ve been looking at how the Loftus Road faithful have been reacting to Chair’s display at The Den – with his second-half strike his fifth goal of the campaign, already matching his tally throughout the whole of last season.
Many were disappointed that Chair was substituted following Millwall’s equaliser – and you can see the best responses on Twitter below:
Carroll and Chair were running the show. Made no sense. Chair wasn’t injured as he made clear in the interview after. Could have scored another with those two on

My opinion last nite was poor. Warburton took chair off who by far was the best player on the pitch. Should have made 3 changes and brought kelman on to inject sum pace game was there for the taking.

Not only were Chair and Carroll our best players on the night but he replaces them with Bonne (awful) and Thomas (terrible). Could have gone Willock and Kelman. Diabolical game management from the sidelines yet again. He’s losing it/lost it #qpr

Abysmal decision. Best player on the pitch at the time. And he keeps ball on who was absolutely blowing on the hour.

How do we take chair off who was running the show and our most dangerous threat!?
