Lee Tomlin proved to be the hero for Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon as he scored a stoppage-time winner during his side's 3-2 victory over relegation strugglers Barnsley in the Welsh capital.

The Bluebirds entered the match looking to extend Neil Harris' unbeaten start to life as Cardiff boss, and Tomlin's effort ensured they sealed an excellent three points despite trailing twice against the Tykes.

Conor Chaplin had given Barnsley the lead in the first half before a Bambo Diaby own goal levelled the scores, while Lee Peltier's own goal then saw Cardiff trail again before Danny Ward's effort which was eventually followed by Tomlin's late strike.

Cardiff are now up to eighth in the Championship table following their impressive start to life under Harris, with Tomlin having played a key role from attacking midfield in the last four matches.

The 30-year-old took to Twitter after the match to reflect on the Bluebirds' late show:

Plenty of Cardiff supporters responded to this message with many of them praising Tomlin for another fine performance, while some suggested the former Bristol City man was the best player on the pitch against Barnsley.
