Amari'i Bell's fourth minute right-footed strike proved to be the difference between Luton Town and Barnsley at Oakwell last night.

The Jamaican international latched onto Elijah Adebayo's driven cross that was played just behind the onrushing Cameron Jerome, finding the bottom corner with his weaker foot.

Luton opted to make five changes to the team that started against West Brom on Saturday, with the experienced duo of Cameron Jerome and Henri Lansbury stepping in, whilst Peter Kioso was handed his first league start.

The 22-year-old, who primarily operates as a right-back, stepped into a rather unfamiliar right-sided centre-back role, next to Tom Lockyer and Kal Naismith.

Luton's early goal completely changed the dynamic of the game, with Barnsley continually pushing for a leveller.

The hosts enjoyed lots of possession throughout the 90 minutes, but Kioso and Co. stood strong and won their battles in the defensive third.

The young defender's aerial prowess and tackling ability were two of his more prominent abilities during his side's victory at Barnsley, showing great maturity on his full Championship debut.

It remains to be seen whether Jones views him as a potential starter at centre-back when The Hatters are back to full strength in that position, but he certainly made a case for himself by winning the club's Man of the Match award on Twitter.

Here, we take a look at how some Luton Town fans reacted to Peter Kioso's first 90 minutes in the Championship...
