Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher helped Charlton Athletic storm to a 3-0 victory against Derby County at the Valley, which has drawn excited responses from fans of the Addicks.

The 19-year-old joined Charlton on loan in the summer and has become a key player for Lee Bowyer's side this season–featuring in every league game this season and contributing five goals and one assist.

Gallagher showed his class again in the win against the Rams, pulling the strings for the hosts and scoring the third goal of the game with a sensational long-range effort.

With Lyle Taylor still missing due to injury, Macauley Bonne started upfront once again for the Addicks and opened the scoring after six minutes.

Defender Naby Sarr doubled their lead early in the second half before Gallagher swerving long-range strike capped off a fantastic performance.

The result means the South London side move up to seventh in the Championship, just one point outside of the play-off places, ahead of their trip to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City on Wednesday evening.

Gallagher seems to look more and more impressive every week and will no doubt be eyeing Mason Mount's ascent into the Chelsea first team on the back of an impressive 2018/19 Championship campaign.

He remains a Charlton player for the time being, however, and seems to have impressed the Valley faithful with his latest performance.
