Bolton Wanderers moved a step closer to what would be an astonishing survival as they ran out narrow 2-1 winners over Joey Barton's Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

The Trotters are now on minus two points, and will fancy their chances of building on some impressive performances as the season progresses.

Goals from Chris O'Grady and Daryl Murphy proved to be enough for Keith Hill's side, although they faced a nervy wait to secure the three points with Josh Morris pulling a goal back for the visitors on the day.

Fleetwood dominated the game in terms of statistics, but were unable to take the chances that fell their way, which will be hugely frustrating for Joey Barton.

One player that was impressive in the win was Jason Lowe, who certainly seems as though he's adjusted to his new surroundings since arriving at the club in the summer.

Plenty of Bolton supporters took to social media to praise Lowe for his performance in the win.
