Ball played a key part in the win on Saturday, helping to break up play and launch attacks from holding midfield.

The 24-year-old signed with the club as a free agent in the summer and is contracted at the KPF until next summer.

He has been in and out of the starting XI this season but has become an integral player for Warburton’s side in recent weeks–starting their last four games in central midfield.

The Northern Irishman, who has spent much of his career in Scottish football, is comfortable at centre-back but has been used primarily as a central midfielder by Warburton.

QPR posted a video of Ball’s passionate response to the win against Stoke, which has been well received by many QPR fans.
