Queens Park Rangers forward Paul Smyth has recently joined Sky Bet League One side Accrington Stanley on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old penned a new one-year extension with the West London club last week, and will now look to gain some regular game-time out on loan with John Coleman’s Accrington.
The Northern Irish forward has struggled for game-time at Loftus Road this term, making just five appearances in all competitions for the R’s, and was linked with a move to Peterborough United in the middle of December.
The pacey forward, who signed for the club from Linfield last season, has played two games for the Northern Ireland national side, and will now look to get some invaluable minutes under his belt at the Wham Stadium.
QPR are still in with a chance of promotion via the play-offs this term, Steve McClaren’s men currently sit 14th in the Sky Bet Championship table, seven points off the top six.
Here, we take a look at R’s fans’ reactions to Smyth’s temporary departure…
Good loan I think. Hopefully do an Eze, tear the league up and comeback next season as a strong first team player.

The best option for him. Other bigger clubs were looking to sign him but Accrington were by far the club who put in most effort. They will be rewarded handsomely. Who knows, maybe even another debut goal at lunchtime tomorrow. He does have previous…….
