Leeds United's future has suddenly become very unclear after they crashed out of the play-offs to Derby County in dramatic circumstances.

A 4-2 win for the Rams at Elland Road meant that was Frank Lampard's side who progressed to Wembley to face Aston Villa for a spot in the Premier League.

Not long after the final whistle was blown by Anthony Taylor, rumours started to circulate regarding whether or not Marcelo Bielsa would stay on as manager.

But Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post gave a promising update on Friday morning, revealing that his sources in Argentina believe he will stay for another campaign.

So, how big a boost is this for the Whites?

We discuss...

Jacob Potter

"The best news all week.

"There will have been real concern that Bielsa could depart following their defeat in the play-off semi-final, so this update will be a huge boost.

"If Leeds can tie him down to another season, then I fancy their chances of going one step further and winning promotion back into the Premier League next season."

Toby Wilding

“This would be a big boost for Leeds.

“The changes to the club made by Bielsa since his arrival last summer have been crucial to the club’s promotion push, and you wonder if any potential replacement could replicate his approach that has had such an impact on the club.

“You feel this could be crucial with regards to Leeds’ hopes for next season.”

Louie Chandler

"It is definitely a reason to be optimistic.

"Bielsa has laid some very impressive foundations this season and did pretty amazingly to do as well as he did with the squad at his disposal.

"If he stays and strengthens his side then they could easily go one better next season."
