Reading won 2-1 away at Fulham in the Championship yesterday.

John Swift with his fifth of the season in the first-half and Charlie Adam with his first in the second-half capped a memorable New Year's Day for Reading.

It was their fourth-straight win in the Championship and Mark Bowen's side now sit just five points off 6th-place Millwall - they were 22nd when Bowen took charge in October, and 12 points off the top-six.

They were dominated by Fulham on all the statistic charts but held their nerve to take all the points back to Berkshire, and Adam's first goal for the club had fans smiling.

He's become a cult hero since coming into the team under Bowen and at 34-years-old, is still proving that he's got what it takes to be a Championship footballer.
