Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk has named his starting XI for their clash against Charlton Athletic at the Valley today, which has drawn some excited responses from fans of the club.

The Owls have not claimed a victory since October and will be looking to end a run of five games without a win against Lee Bowyer's side today.

Fernando Forestieri makes his first start since August and his first in the league under Monk, with the Wednesday boss also starting two strikers–Steven Fletcher and Atdhe Nuhiu.

With Julian Borner and Liam Palmer suspended, captain Tom Lees starts alongside Dominic Iorfa in central defence, with Moses Odubajo and Liam Fox at full-back.

Cameron Dawson continues in goal, with Keiren Westwood still not fit enough to make the bench.

A win for Wednesday could see them move to within a point of the top six, should results elsewhere go their way.

The Owls have suffered from conceding some late goals over the past few weeks and it seems Monk is taking a positive approach to try and solve that.

His starting XI appears to have excited many Owls fans, who took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
