Polish keeper Bartosz Bialkowski has been named Ipswich Town's Player of the Season, with fans responding positively to the 30-year old stopper.

He tweeted his thanks for the award, his third in as many seasons, claiming it to be an honour. He's only been at Portman Road for four seasons, having joined from Notts County in 2014.

Six-foot-four Bialkowski began his career with Gornick Zabrze in his native Poland before securing a move to England with Southampton. From there he enjoyed a loan spell with Ipswich, although he didn't make an appearance, as well as Barnsley.

In 2012 he signed a three-year deal with Notts County where he was immediately made first-choice keeper. He seized his chance and has been performing well ever since.

Bialkowski has made 44 appearances for Ipswich this season, but conceded four goals at the weekend against a rampant Aston Villa.

He's still a popular figure in Suffolk and fans made sure they let him know with a warm reaction to his message.
