Aston Villa secured a huge win against Sheffield Wednesday yesterday, twice coming from behind before two late goals sealed a 4-2 victory.

It means the West Midlands side have closed the gap on second-placed Cardiff City to just a point ahead of the Welsh sides game against Bristol City this afternoon.

As well as that, defeat for Wolves against Fulham means Steve Bruce's men are ten points behind the leaders, who they have to play at Villa Park next month.

Once again, on-loan West Ham man Robert Snodgrass was the catalyst behind Villa's impressive performance, scoring one, assisting one and also winning a penalty.

The Scotland international was singled out for praise after the game by his manager and has been key to Villa's strong form in 2018.

Therefore, it's perhaps not surprising to see that the 30-year old was heavily praised by the fans too.

Here's how they reacted to his display on twitter...
