Josip Drmic has left Norwich City and joined HNK Rijeka on loan for the remainder of the season.

Drmic arrived at Carrow Road on a three-year deal from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer, as the Canaries looked to provide competition for Teemu Pukki upon their return to the Premier League.

The 28-year-old made 24 appearances for Norwich in all competitions last season, scoring only three goals.

He made only five league starts for Daniel Farke's side last season, and he has failed to make a matchday squad this term.

Drmic has joined Croatian side HNK Rijeka on loan for the remainder of the season, where he will hope to get regular game time under his belt.

Birmingham made an enquiry for Drmic in January, but he will now be looking for a fresh start abroad.
