Derby County have once again insisted that they have done nothing wrong after the club was charged by the EFL for breaching financial rules.

The league are particularly unhappy with the sale of Pride Park to Rams owner Mel Morris which saw the club record a pre-tax profit at the time.

And, after an investigation, it was confirmed this week that the East Midlands outfit had been charged - with a points deduction a potential penalty if they are found guilty by an independent panel.

However, that's not something that Derby will accept, as they released a strong statement on their official site this evening, claiming that the EFL knew everything that had gone on with the stadium sale. They also added that what they are trying to do now is 'unlawful'.
