Huddersfield Town have unveiled their official home kit for the 2019/20 season after tricking supporters with the initial design.

The Terriers first released images of their home kit on Monday morning, and the club received backlash for the inclusion of a sash featuring the name of apparent sponsors Paddy Power.

However, the club have now confirmed the original design was a marketing ploy to promote Paddy Power's 'Save Our Shirt' campaign which is backing a move to unbranded football shirts.

They unveiled the design via the club's Twitter channel on Friday morning:

Plenty of Huddersfield supporters responded to the announcement by expressing their relief. Others also praised the simplicity of the new design which has proved to be a hit among the fan base.
