Coventry City manager Mark Robins has confirmed that former midfielder Carl Baker is training with the club and could be offered a contract.

Baker is a free agent having prematurely left ATK Kolkata in the Indian Super League due to an Achilles problem.

Coventry have given the 34-year-old an opportunity to get fit and the chance to impress with a contract possibly on the table if he can prove that he is fit and in form.

The Sky Blues are looking to add some players to their squad - especially in the absence of Jodi Jones and Tony Andreu - and Baker could fit the bill.

The former MK Dons and Portsmouth midfielder represented Coventry between January 2010 and summer 2014, playing over 150 appearances during that time.

Coventry fans took to Twitter to share their opinions on whether they would welcome back the veteran midfielder and here are a selection of the best tweets.
